We all have dreams and desires that we want to manifest and we embark on a journey to accomplish these. In pursuit of these dreams we do whatever it takes, at times we leave the family behind and relocate to another place, where we start life all over again, adapting to new cultures and lifestyles.
There comes a time in life when we actually feel the need to reconnect and visit the place we were born and recall the memories. There are no words to describe the feelings of reconnecting with family, friends, teachers and the list goes on. I actually walked down memory lane last week when I was in Fiji and feel that I must share the experience with you.
The journey back in time is full of beautiful memories. Just as we cannot touch the same water twice, in a flowing river, same is true for time. We all have moved on with our lives each family member has created their own journey and reality. Even though we are different in may aspects, our root remains the same. I appear to stand out in the family but the love has not changed a bit. What I have learnt from this most magnificent journey, is that even though we adapt to different cultures and lifestyles the love of the parents and siblings is deeper and more precious. Life is very beautiful and must be lived to the fullest. At times distance makes one feel alone and anxious but after all a family is the quilt that binds everyone together.
I found myself sitting in the sun and recalling my childhood days with my family and as beautiful as this was, I longed for time to change back. "Time is free, but it is priceless . You can't own it, but you can use it. You can't keep it, but you can spend it. Once you have lost it you can never get it back".
With the passage of time, memories is all we are left with so I ask you my lovely souls that if you have been thinking about visiting your loved ones, do it now. Now is a good time as any. Life is short and tomorrow is a new day with its blessings and abundance , do not wait too long as nothing is for certain. Family is very precious and perhaps tie may have been unravelled at some point but love is the glue that binds it again and keeps the quilt warm and fuzzy.
Love
